I first learnt to drive in an MG ZR at the age of 13, this was done around silver end air field. This was to leanr the basics of how to make the car work.
It was not until I was 14 where my dad recognised my pace. He noticed my pace in a 106 Peugeot diesel around an autocross track. I was not able to compete in this event, but at practise I would have been fast enough to compete. It was when I was 15 I was allowed to compete in my first event in my mk2 escort and at this event the car almost went on its roof but I was able to secure 1st in class. For the next couple of years I joined Delado Motorclub where I was junior champion 2 times and was finishing well in class with a 2nd in my second year. At this point I moved up to the next class swapping my 1300cc x-flow for my current standard pinto. From the season to swapping the engine to current I have been second in class, but this year is looking good as I am heading the class and overall.
When I was 18 I got to do my first stage event in a GpN 1300 Skoda at the Essex Charity Stages where I finished 38 overall from starting 52nd. The next year I got to drive again in the same event but different car which was the Suzuki Swift where I finished 14th overall which is much improvement in a year. This year is the year I have been lucky enough to compete in more than just one event in the year. The first event was Brands where a 36 overall and 5th in class beating the other swift in my first tarmac event.
